Start your adventure in charming Arrowtown on bike, whether you choose a mountain bike or an E-bike is up to you! You start this beautiful riverside ride under a canopy of spectacular Willow trees. Crossing purpose-built suspension bridges (these are awesome) you ride through open farmland with stunning mountain and river views while passing breathtaking canyons until you reach the historic Kawarau Bridge, home to AJ Hackett Bungy. A short ride further takes you into the heartland of our winemaking country, the Gibbston Valley.

From Peregrine winery, part of the winery was designed to evoke the rotation of a falcon’s wing in flight, extremely impressive at first sight. Organic farming is fundamental to every aspect of Peregrine Vineyard Estate.
Gibbston Valley winery, they have an amazing lunch menu, and you can even do their unique wine cave tour.
Gibbston tavern, which offers local craft and NZ beers on tap. And an excellent selection of Central Otago wines ,plus delicious wood fired pizzas.
A Bit further down is Cargo Brewery at Waitiri Creek, which is the place to stop if craft beer is more your thing. Where tasting boards of beer and wine are a great way to try what they have on offer, plus they do excellent tasting platters to accompany your drinks.
Cargo Brewery at Waitiri is more than just about the food and drinks. They have acres of green grass offering a selection of fun activities from beach volleyball, cricket, football, croquet and badminton.
And then ride a little further to Kinross, a boutique cellar door where you can experience five local Central Otago wineries, plus they offer food which can be enjoyed by their outside fireplace.
And don’t worry if you don’t have the energy to make the ride back, a pick up for you and your bike is an option most people take.
